Here are our NFL survivor picks and strategy notes for Week 15, along with guidance on how to use them in different types of contests.

This breakdown is designed to work alongside our NFL Survivor Picks product, which delivers tailored recommendations based on your remaining teams, pool size, and specific rules. If you have not set that up yet, it is worth doing that first so you can get the most out of the advice that follows.

From this point, the optimal plan depends heavily on how many entries are left in your pool and which teams you have used. We will outline recommended approaches for different pool sizes and formats, then update the outlook during the week as injuries, line moves, and survivor pick popularity shift.

Week 15 Sunday AM Pick Overview

Here’s how our customized subscriber pick recommendations stand as of Sunday at 8:45 AM ET, comparing public picking trends to the percentage of picks we’re recommending to PoolGenius subscribers (the “PoolGenius” column).

The last seven columns in the table show how our recommended picks vary by subscriber pool format/rules (we added late start data to the table this week). The table shows every team with at least 2% public popularity and/or is drawing at least one recommendation from PoolGenius to one of your pool entries.

Entries can fall under more than one category. For example, a pool that requires multiple picks in future weeks and allows a strike would be separately included in the percentages for each.

Here is how things looking as we move to the Sunday games.

• Jacksonville continues to lead the way as our most frequent pick recommendation, making up a big chunk of remaining standard pools, and over 40% of all picks.
• After that, it’s pretty spread out, with four teams each drawing between 12% and 15%.
• We are lighter than the public on San Francisco and Philadelphia, as well as Chicago, and heavier on the other options, but not all that different from the public overall.

Week 15 Expectations

Here are the overall expectations across all pick recommendations as of this morning.

• This week has higher average survival odds with so many double digit favorites.
• While the public and our overall odds are both high, our recommendations are higher, with the public at 82% (our odds) and 84% (market odds), versus 86% (our odds) and 87% (market odds) for our picks. The EVs are pretty balanced, though ours is slightly higher thanks to the win odds bump and being lower on the two most popular picks.
• Both the public and our picks are averaging 0.3 FV used. At this point, with a few weeks left (and Week 18 more uncertain) it is largely driven by individual entry value and past usage.

NFL Survivor Week 15: Strategy Breakdown

Week 15 looks like the calm between the storms, but it still sets up as a strategic week of choices that will shape the rest of the year.

These are our projections for availability in “Week 1 start pools” for the top seven teams by win odds:

• Seattle – 10%
• Jacksonville – 70%
• San Francisco – 65%
• Philadelphia – 67%
• Houston – 65%
• Chicago – 77%
• LA Rams – 5%

Outside of Seattle and the LA Rams, we have five teams, four of whom are favored by 10 or more points. Those five have all been used by some, but are each available to more than half of the entries. On average, an entry should have 3.4 of them available, and the vast majority should have at least one. So it’s not really a week where picks have to resort to riskier options below a touchdown in the spread.
