The PGA Tour moves to Hilton Head, South Carolina this week for the RBC Heritage. This is one of the Signature Events on tour, with a loaded field, so even though the Masters has passed there is still a lot to play for this week in golf One And Done pools.

We also have a bonus section on the Corales Puntacana at the bottom of this article, if your pool also uses that event, by Tuesday night.

Last Week’s One And Done Pick Results

  • Scottie Scheffler claimed his third big title of the year, winning the Masters for the second time in three seasons.
  • Scheffler had already been used heavily in One And Done pools, but still had popularity of around 10% or so in many pools last week.
  • The LIV golfers that were popular picks largely floundered, as Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, and Joaquin Niemann finished outside the Top 20.
  • Masters rookie Ludvig Aberg finished a solo 2nd place to earn $2,160,000, one of the highest finishes for a golfer not named Scheffler this year; Aberg was a fairly unpopular OAD pick given his debutant status.
  • Tommy Fleetwood, Max Homa, and Collin Morikawa each finished in a tie for 3rd, earning over $1 million in prize money each.

RBC Heritage One And Done Pick Strategy: Purse Info

The RBC Heritage is a Signature Event with a total purse of $20 million and $3.6 million going to first place, making it one of the higher value events this PGA season.

The only tournament remaining with a larger first place prize is The Memorial, and maybe a future Major like the U.S. Open, depending on how the purse changes. (Majors do not announce their purse sizes until the week of the event, so we have to estimate there.)

If you want to see where this tournament’s purse ranks in your specific One And Done pool, you can set up your pool entry in our Golf One And Done Picks product.

This analysis serves as a complement to the data provided in our product, which provides customized weekly pick grades that consider factors like:

  • The total number of picks you need to make this season
  • The specific tournaments included in your pool

Here are some notable highlights for the 2024 RBC Heritage field:

  • Like most Signature Events, the RBC Heritage features a loaded field, that has most of the top PGA Tour golfers.
  • Viktor Hovland, after missing the cut at The Masters and generally playing below last year’s form early in 2024, has withdrawn from the event.
  • Scottie Scheffler is the betting favorite (as will likely be the case with any event he enters this year), followed by Xander Schauffele, Rory McIlroy, and Ludvig Aberg.
  • Matt Fitzpatrick (No. 19 in our rankings) is the defending champion here, while Jordan Spieth won the 2022 event, and finished runner-up a year ago.
  • There is no cut for this week’s event, the first Signature Event where that has been the case since the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
