How Do I Get Picks For A “Pick Six” Pool?
If your pool requires you to pick from less than the full schedule of games available, here is how you should get your picks.
Instead of giving you a list of games and saying “pick all of these”, some pools require you to select 6 games from a list, and make picks for those 6 games (or 5 games, or 10 games, or some other specific number). How do you set that up in our My Pool Picks section?
It’s simple:
1) Set Up A Pick 6 Style Pool
When you create a pool, we ask you a series of question. On of those questions is:
“Do you pick a list of specific games, or can you choose which games you pick?”
In order to set up a Pick 6 style pool, you just need to click “Choice Of Games To Pick” as the answer to this question. Then continue filling out the rest of the questions as normal.
2) Answer The Pool Status Questions
Once you have the pool set up, you need to get picks via the big, blue “Get Picks” button on the My Pool Picks page.
The first screen after you click “Get Picks” should ask you:
“Which games do you need to pick?”
For a Pick 6 style pool, simply add all the games that you can choose from. For example, if you can pick any 3 games involving SEC teams, add all the SEC games in this step.
On one of the following screens, we’ll ask you:
“How many picks do you need to make?”
This is where you tell us how many game you need to select. For our imaginary SEC pool from above, you would answer “3” for this question, so our tool knows you need to pick only 3 games.
3) View Your Picks
Once you finish answering the questions, and hit the final “Get Picks” button (or “Finish”), we’ll show you our pick suggestions. There may be several different pick sets to choose from, but each one will have only the number of picks you indicated in your answer above. And we choose these picks by taking what we think the best 6 picks for your pool (or the best 10, or 3, or however many you specify).
