Splash Survivor World Championship: Week 4 Picks and Analysis

The Splash Survivor World Championship continues to get cut down quickly, and in Week 4 the picks center around Minnesota and Baltimore.

Will Justin Jefferson suit up for the Vikings in a big survivor pool game?

Week 3 was a relative reprieve after the carnage of the first two weeks — but it still took out roughly 30% of the field. The Kansas City Chiefs delivered as projected, coming in at 41% popularity and winning comfortably. The damage came from elsewhere: the Seattle Seahawks (12% of entries), Green Bay Packers (8%), and New Orleans Saints (5%) all lost, with Philadelphia, Carolina, and Cincinnati adding smaller chunks on top. The field dropped from 7,953 to 5,601 remaining.

At PoolGenius, we have created a Splash Survivor World Championship Picks product and tools built specifically for the contest’s unique double-pick format, which includes six weeks where contestants must pick two winners instead of one. This article serves as your Week 4 guide, with breakdowns of the teams drawing the most picks, links to YouTube strategy videos, and strategy discussion for Week 4 picks.

**New Feature for Week 4: Free Splash Pick Assignment Tool**

Managing a large portfolio of entries in the Splash Survivor World Championship just got considerably easier. We’ve launched a free Splash Pick Assignment tool that eliminates the manual work of filling out entries one by one.

Here’s how it works: download your contest file from Splash, upload it to the tool, set your rules and pick distribution — by percentage or by number of entries — and the tool assigns picks across your entire portfolio automatically. When you’re done, you check the entries over, then download a completed file and import it directly back to Splash. No manual entry on Splash, no spreadsheet gymnastics where you have to fill out codes and team ids.

The tool is free to use right now. If you’re running multiple entries, this is worth a few minutes of your time before the Week 4 deadline.

Splash Survivor World Championship Contest Size and Projected Winners

5,601 entries remain heading into Week 4 — just under 27% of the 20,839 that started the contest.

The field is thinning faster than pre-season projections suggested. PoolGenius now projects fewer than 1% of the current field to survive to Week 12, the second double-pick week. The early losses have compressed the timeline considerably, and the math increasingly points to a contest where the ending could come in the double pick weeks, and where on average we project 2 winners, but with plenty of variation.

Based on our simulations, the median ending is at Week 16, the final double-pick week, with either a “wipeout” that ends the contest with those entering the week splitting the prize, or that produces a solo winner.

You can see the full projections in the week-to-week summary of the popularity projections tool. We currently project single-digit entries remaining by the end of Week 15, at which point anything is possible.

Minnesota and Baltimore are clearly this week’s top two — but they represent opposite ends of the future value spectrum, which is the central tension for Week 4.

Mo Nuwwarah’s Pick Thoughts on Week 4: From Chalk to Contrarian

Here are some thoughts from Mo for Week 4.

On the Week 4 Chalk

Week 4 features two teams at the top of the survivor board in both win equity and projected popularity. Where they diverge sharply is future value — and that gap is the most important strategic question of the week.

The Baltimore Ravens host Tennessee in what projects as their easiest game of the season. It would qualify as a genuine stunner if they lost. The problem is opportunity cost. PoolGenius ranks only the Rams ahead of Baltimore in future value, and the Ravens project as underdogs just twice the rest of the year. They’re also primed for heavy use in two double-pick weeks — Week 14 (vs. Buccaneers) and Week 16 (vs. Browns). Burning them here means giving up that optionality. Holding Baltimore in your back pocket could prove critical when the field is thin and options are scarce.

The Minnesota Vikings are getting it done on the scoreboard, but their underlying numbers don’t inspire confidence — they rank last in the NFL in offensive Success Rate. The field largely understands this is a team running on fumes, and everyone wants to fade Miami after two weeks of confirming how bad that roster is. The result: Minnesota projects as the most popular pick of the week despite the statistical red flags. Their future survivor utility is limited — they don’t project as viable again until Week 12 (vs. Falcons) and Week 13 (vs. Panthers), and a lot can change between now and then.

On the Teams Below the Top Two

The drop from the top two to the rest of the board is steep. After burning entries last week, the Seattle Seahawks return against a Chargers team that has found a new way to lose every week. The matchup is appealing, but Seattle still has home dates against the Cardinals and Giants — both during double-pick weeks — making this a more costly deployment than it looks at first glance.

Kansas City is only 37% available at this point, and the matchup (road divisional game at Las Vegas) explains why they project at just 1% popularity despite solid win odds. Entries still holding the Chiefs are better off waiting for a cleaner spot rather than spending them in a divisional road game.

Green Bay draws a winnable game against Tampa Bay without their starter, as the Buccaneers continue an 0-3 skid. The Packers don’t have another clear survivor window until Week 15 (vs. Dolphins), so this spot carries real appeal — just not at a scale that pushes them above single digits in projected ownership.

Sneaky Contrarian Survivor Picks for Week 4

The Pittsburgh Steelers bounced back in Week 3, showing they still have something left. But pulling the trigger in a road divisional game at Cleveland — a team that has proven it won’t roll over — is a different ask. Pittsburgh still has better spots ahead, including a home game against the Browns and a Week 17 trip to Tennessee, which has looked hapless all season. The case for Pittsburgh this week exists; it just requires more conviction than most entries will have.

The Arizona Cardinals are the true out-on-a-limb pick, and it’s worth taking seriously. Arizona has a minus sign this week — road favorites — against a Giants team that got outgained by the Titans. The Cardinals offense has looked legitimate through three weeks, and their schedule turns brutal after this. They won’t be viable in survivor again. If you’re going to use Arizona at all, it’s now or never.
