Splash Survivor Pick Popularity Projections
A 24-pick gauntlet with $21 million on the line needs more than generic survivor advice. Here's what PoolGenius built for the Splash contest.

The Splash Survivor World Championship is a 24-pick gauntlet with a $21 million guaranteed prize. Generic survivor advice will not get you through it.
Watch the full walkthrough of the tools below, or keep reading for the written version.
That is the problem PoolGenius built for this season. We have provided customized survivor pick advice, data, and tools for over a decade, and this year that includes pick popularity projections built specifically for the Splash contest.
Why this contest needs its own model
Most survivor contests ask for one pick a week. This one asks for 24 picks across 18 weeks, because six weeks require two teams instead of one.
That changes everything about how the field behaves. In a standard contest, you spend 18 teams and the crowd concentrates on a handful of favorites each week. Here you spend 24 of 32 available teams, and the double pick weeks force the entire field to burn inventory in bunches. Pick popularity in Week 13 of this contest looks nothing like pick popularity in Week 13 of a one-pick contest.
Generic popularity estimates cannot capture that. Contest-specific ones can.

The track record behind the projections
PoolGenius has surveyed subscribers for over a decade to track how our advice performs across contest types — multiple pick contests, small contests, large contests, contests with strikes. That reporting is the basis for every claim we make.
For a contest of this size, one number stands out. Since 2017, subscribers in Survivor contests with 1,001 to 9,999 entries have reported winning 7.4 times their expected share of the prize money, after accounting for contest size and the number of entries they played.
With a field this large, the Splash Survivor World Championship falls squarely into the type of large-field Survivor contest where our historical results have shown the strongest relative edge.
The Splash Survivor World Championship is exactly that kind of contest.
Import your Splash entries directly
Once Splash finalizes picks and makes entry data available, you can import your entries straight into the PoolGenius tools. No manual re-entry.
From there your entries load into everything we offer, including the tools returning subscribers already know:
- Season Planner — map your team allocation across the full schedule
- Optimal Path — generate optimal survival sequences through the season
Pick popularity projections, updated weekly
This is the tool built specifically for the Splash contest.
We already project pick popularity into future weeks for survivor contests. For the Splash Survivor World Championship, those projections are contest-specific and refreshed every week. Each week we take in data on current ownership and team availability, who has been eliminated, and how much of each team remains available across the surviving field. We combine that with our updated team ratings to adapt the popularity estimates as the season unfolds.
The result is a forward view of where the crowd is heading, not a snapshot of where it has been.
As of our current projections, Jacksonville shapes up as a popular Week 12 choice because of the double pick requirement. Philadelphia projects as an attractive Week 13 option at Arizona. Baltimore looks like a popular save for entries that survive the gauntlet into Week 16. These are projections, and they will move as the season plays out — which is the point of updating them weekly.
Week-by-week survival projections
The week-by-week summary tab projects how the contest itself will unfold: how many entries we expect to survive to each point in the season, based on who remains alive, which teams they have left, and how we project the upcoming schedule.
As real contest data comes in, those projections update with it.
Knowing the field is likely to thin from thousands of entries to dozens by a given week changes how you value a contrarian pick. That is information about the contest, not about a single game.
Most common pairs
Double pick weeks create a strategic problem that one-pick contests never present: which two teams do opponents save and deploy together?
The most common pairs tab projects those pairings for any week you select. Right now, Denver and Philadelphia project as the most likely Week 13 pairing.
If you know which combinations the field is holding, you know where the leverage is.
