The PGA Tour heads to Blaine, Minnesota for the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities — a familiar stop on the calendar that follows The Open Championship and typically draws a field of mid-tier regulars, FedEx bubble players, and a handful of notable names opting to play rather than rest before the playoffs. This year, Scottie Scheffler headlines the field, playing in the Twin Cities before taking time off ahead of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Here’s what you need to know for your Golf One and Done picks this week.

3M Open One and Done Picks: Purse Info

The 3M Open carries an $8,800,000 purse, with $1,512,000 going to the winner. That is one of the lower purses remaining on the calendar, and with the FedEx St. Jude Championship and BMW Championship still ahead as premium events, most pool players should deploy options that fall outside the golfers they could use at those events.

• Scheffler tied for fourth at Royal Birkdale alongside Tommy Fleetwood, continuing his strong major season. He is playing this week before likely taking the next two weeks off, but with only around 8% availability remaining across OAD pools and the FedEx St. Jude and BMW Championship still ahead, expect very few entries to deploy him at this purse level.
• Maverick McNealy, Hideki Matsuyama, and Kurt Kitayama project as the three most popular picks this week. All three are mostly available to entries, and fall in the 20s in our golfer rankings (so most entries likely have some other golfers with similar or better ranking to deploy in future weeks). With most of the field freely available across entries, popularity should concentrate in this top tier more than in recent weeks.
• Mixed results for this field at The Open. Of the 30 players still in this week’s field who competed at The Open Championship last week, 15 made the cut and 15 missed it.
• High availability across the field. Unlike the last several events where availability constraints shaped popularity significantly, nearly every player in this field is available to most entries. That means popularity this week will be driven primarily by course history, recent form, and odds — not scarcity.
• FedEx Cup positioning adds intrigue. Several players in this field are fighting to improve their standings before the playoffs begin. The Top 70 qualify for the FedEx St. Jude Championship, and the Top 50 earn spots in the BMW Championship. Players on the bubble will hope to solidify their spot.
