Splash Sports Launches Massive NFL Survivor Contests for 2025

Splash Sports has released its initial 2025 NFL survivor contests with large guaranteed prize pools, plus a college football survivor contest.

NFL survivor pools are popping up as football season approaches. One platform leading the charge is Splash Sports, which has become a major player in the online pool space by launching a healthy mix of contests across different entry fees and guaranteed prize levels.

While Las Vegas-based NFL survivor contests like Circa Survivor have exploded in popularity, not everyone wants to travel to Vegas and risk $1,000, $5,000, or even $100,000 (like this player did) on a single entry. That’s where Splash Sports comes in, offering online survivor contests with a range of entry fees that are far more manageable for most players.

The demand is there, and Splash is meeting it with accessible, high-payout options you can join from 38 states.

NFL Survivor Pool: The Big Splash ($2.5 Million)

The crown jewel of Splash Sports’ survivor offerings is aptly named The Big Splash. It’s a guaranteed $2.5 million NFL survivor pool that represents one of the larger online guaranteed survivor contests we’ve seen.

Here are the key details:

  • Entry Fee: $150 per entry
  • Maximum Entries Per Person: 150 entries
  • Total Maximum Entries: 18,519
  • Prize: $2.5 Million, Winner(s) take all
  • Start Date: Week 1 NFL Season (Sept. 4-8)
  • Registration Deadline: September 8, 2025 (Week 1)

You can register until kickoff of the Monday Night Football game on September 8, 2025. However, you’ll want to join earlier to get access to the full slate of teams for Week 1.

The NFL season starts on Thursday, September 4, with the Cowboys at the Eagles. That’s followed by a Friday night game, 13 games on Sunday, and one Monday night game on September 8. It’s best to join before the Thursday opener, or at the very least by Sunday, September 7, so you have the ability to choose any team.

Other Splash Sports NFL Survivor Contests

If the $150 entry fee feels too steep, or you prefer spreading your risk across multiple smaller entries, Splash Sports has you covered with their $50K NFL Survivor contest.

This more accessible option features:

  • Entry Fee: $5 per entry
  • Maximum Entries Per Person: 150 entries
  • Total Maximum Entries: 11,112
  • Guaranteed Prize Pool: $50,004
  • Start Date: Week 1 NFL Season (Sept. 4-8)
  • Registration Deadline: September 8, 2025 (Week 1)

The low $5 buy-in creates a unique strategic opportunity. At that price, many players enter multiple times and diversify their picks. For example, instead of entering “The Big Splash” once for $150, you could buy 30 entries into this contest, spread out your picks each week, and give yourself more chances to stay alive.

Our lead NFL Survivor analyst, Jason Lisk, turned $24 into a $3,000 survivor win with this exact strategy. You can read more about how he did it, along with his full strategy breakdown, right here.

College Football Survivor: A Strategic Twist

Perhaps the most intriguing addition to Splash Sports’ lineup is their college football survivor offering: Kelly & Murray’s $150K CFB Survivor Challenge.

This contest introduces several unique wrinkles that separate it from traditional NFL survivor formats:

  • Entry Fee: $100 per entry
  • Maximum Entries Per Person: 50 entries
  • Total Maximum Entries: 1,667
  • Guaranteed Prize Pool: $150,030
  • Registration Deadline: August 30, 2025 at noon ET
  • Season End: November 29, 2025

Instead of picking one team per week, contestants must select two outright winners each week from games involving teams in the Big Ten, Big 12, or SEC conferences.

This format creates interesting early-season decisions around non-conference games versus saving stronger conference teams for later weeks when tougher matchups emerge. Since the contest ends November 29 (before conference championship games), participants need to plan their team usage around the regular season schedule only.

With Splash Sports guaranteeing the full $150,030 prize pool no matter how many entries are submitted, there’s potential overlay value if the contest doesn’t hit its 1,667-entry cap, although we expect it will fill.
