2026 NCAA Survivor: Final Four Pick Strategy

We are down to eight potential combinations of picks if you are in a pool that requires one in the Final Four and one in the title game. Because order matters, that means you and your opponents can pick any of the following (Final Four pick + Champ pick):

  • Illinois + Arizona
  • Illinois + Michigan
  • Connecticut + Arizona
  • Connecticut + Michigan
  • Arizona + Illinois
  • Arizona + Connecticut
  • Michigan + Illinois
  • Michigan + Connecticut

The first thing you should do in your pool is add up how many entries can pick each combination. So note how many can even pick each combo, regardless of order. There’s a chance some might not be able to make a pick in the Final Four or the Championship.

The endgame can be hard to predict. That’s especially true when the total number of entries remaining is small. So you just have to do your best. Knowing human behavior and how these things tend to go, you can expect the paths that result in picking the favorite in the title game will be more popular. This would be saving Arizona or Michigan, and picking Illinois or Connecticut in the Final Four.
